Mrs. Greene “Teaches the Teachers” at Regional Math Conference

NSHAHS mathematics chair Mrs. Nora Greene recently shared her passion for meaningful instruction at the How to Make Math Count Conference, hosted by the Association of Math Supervisors of Long Island (AMSLI) and the Nassau County Mathematics Teachers Association (NCMTA) at Molloy University.

Her interactive session, “Don’t Forget to Circle Back: The Power of Spiral Review,” gave fellow educators practical strategies to help students retain core concepts over time. The conference brought together math teachers and supervisors from across New York City and Long Island, spanning all grade levels from kindergarten through college.

“It was an inspiring day where teachers taught teachers, and educational professionals shared ideas,” said Mrs. Greene.

In addition to leading our high school math department, Mrs. Greene also serves as Recording Secretary for NCMTA. We love seeing our educators recognized as leaders in their field!
