Middle School Science Teacher - Great Neck, NY

Position Type: Full Time

Through expert instruction, collaboration and creativity we provide a premier General and Jewish education in a warm and nurturing environment, cultivating our students to be the best they can be academically and personally. 

We are seeking a caring and dynamic middle school grade science teacher to join our Middle School faculty team. An ideal candidate will have experience teaching science through hands-on labs and project- based learning and a passion for Earth Science and Physical Science.

Our teachers are responsible for planning lessons, delivering differentiated instruction, assessing student learning, helping students to develop social and emotional competencies, communicating with parents, and collaborating with their colleagues.

Ideal Candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • MA in education
  • A minimum of three years teaching science, ideally in a middle school setting
  • A teaching philosophy that focuses on growth in academic, social and emotional domains
  • A collaborative, teamwork-oriented approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • We especially encourage teachers with strong extracurricular experience to apply

Middle School Permanent Substitute/Math Teacher - Great Neck, NY

Position Type: Full Time

At NSHA, we are a team of educators who are passionate about inspiring our 700+ students. Through expert instruction, collaboration and creativity we provide a premier General and Jewish education in a warm and nurturing environment, cultivating our students to be the best they can be academically and personally. 

We are seeking a caring and dynamic teacher to join our Middle School faculty team to cover a math maternity leave and then to remain on our faculty as a permanent substitute for the 22-23 academic year. An ideal candidate will have experience teaching middle school math, a passion for teaching in a middle school environment, and excellent classroom management. Our teachers are responsible for planning lessons, delivering differentiated instruction, assessing student learning, helping students to develop social and emotional competencies, communicating with parents, and collaborating with their colleagues.
