We are seeking a caring and dynamic middle school English teacher to join our Middle School faculty team. An ideal candidate will have experience in teaching middle school reading and writing, and have a deep passion for literature.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate psychoeducational reports to support eligibility determinations for special education services and accommodations.
  • Participate in IEP, 504, and student support meetings.
  • Supervise mental health team to provide short-term individual and group counseling for students experiencing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments, coordinating with administration and families.
  • Consult with teachers regarding classroom strategies, learning differences, and behavioral supports.
  • Communicate as appropriate with outside support professionals and families. 
  • Contribute to programs and school-wide initiatives that promote resilience, healthy relationships, and social-emotional learning.
  • Provide professional development for faculty on student mental health, trauma-informed practices, and effective classroom strategies.
  • Be attentive to the ways in which Jewish life and communal rhythms shape student experience and stress patterns throughout the year.
  • Support students navigating questions of identity, belonging, and community within a Jewish educational setting.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensure evaluation timelines and documentation requirements are met.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field.
  • State certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Knowledge of adolescent development, psychological assessment, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit school community.
  • Familiarity with Jewish communal life, culture, or education (professional or personal).
  • Experience working with diverse Jewish populations and backgrounds.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Social Worker to provide direct and indirect support services to students experiencing social, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges that interfere with their school performance. 

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience collaborating with school staff, families, and community providers, and a passion for working in an Orthodox Jewish Middle School setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students with various social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Develop and implement social and emotional learning programs to promote positive student outcomes
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support families in addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns related to their children
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ needs and appropriate interventions
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student services and progress
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed
  • Supervise all 504 and Special Education accommodations in collaboration with the GNPS Psychologist and Special Education Teacher
  • Proctor exams for students needing accommodations as needed

  • Masters degree in social work, school counseling, psychology or related field
  • A minimum of three years of social work experience
