Elementary School

First – Fifth Grade

The Elementary School staff focuses on developing each child’s academic path in accordance with his or her needs. We offer the highest level Judaic Studies Ivrit b’Ivrit curriculum, which emphasizes Hebrew language instruction. Students study Chumash, Navi and Mishnah. Our faculty places the utmost importance on instilling midot in our students.

Our curriculum and methodologies bring rich learning experiences and challenging General Studies academics to our students. All students study Common Core math and English taught by our skilled and sophisticated teaching staff. We match and often surpass the standards of the academically rigorous Great Neck Public Schools. Our students learn in state-of-the-art science labs, computer centers, and libraries, and round out their studies with courses in art, music, and physical education.

Students who need extra academic attention attend our Learning Center, which is staffed by highly experienced professionals. The school community participates in chesed and holiday programs throughout the year that enhance the learning experience.

Diverse After School Activities

Our robust offerings meet our students’ unique interests - from fencing to jewelry making and computer coding to soccer - and are run by experienced professionals, including an Olympic coach.

Hebrew Language

Using the holistic TaL Am Hebrew program, students learn and experience Hebrew through a multifaceted and all-encompassing approach, including music, games, visual aids, and textbook study. Hebrew classes are Ivrit B’Ivrit, and equip students to be confident speakers and readers.

Our students explore robotics and programming, create and edit videos and music, and complete and submit assignments online using Google Classroom. In the annual Maker’s Fair, students guide the community in creating inventive technologies.

Our students dive into tefila, Chumash, Navi, and Mishnah, and celebrate their achievements with Chagigat HaSiddur, Chagigat HaChumash, and Chagigat HaMishnah.

Individual Attention

With teaching assistants in each of our classrooms, and a learning center that provides our students with extra guidance, we ensure that all students receive the support that they need.

Teachers emphasize kindness in the classroom and the community through daily lessons and grade-wide chesed projects.
