NSHA Early Childhood Program

Rabbi Yeshayahu Greenfeld- Dean

The Early Childhood program provides our children with a wonderful introduction to the world of learning. Children play, thrive, and learn in a warm, supportive and vibrantly Jewish atmosphere.

Loving, nurturing teachers treat the children as individuals, meeting their needs and stimulating their interests. Exciting, hands-on activities invite youngsters to participate in age-appropriate explorations of their world and encourage learning through discovery and play. Judaic and secular disciplines are interwoven, each reinforcing the other. Torah, the joys of Judaism, Ahavat Yisrael, Hebrew and Jewish values are complemented by writing, language and math readiness. A whole-language approach to reading, music, art, dramatics and physical activities adds enrichment and delight to the early childhood curriculum.

Spirited celebrations make holidays come alive and introduce children to age-old traditions. Parents are invited to share in special participatory activities with their children, thereby enhancing their experience.

The early childhood years are often called the “wonder years.” At NSHA we undoubtedly fill these years with wonder as we guide our children over the threshold into a lifetime of learning.
