Boys Hockey

Still undefeated with a record of 7-0, for the first time in NSHA Middle School Hockey history we have a first round by in the playoff!  On Motzei Shabbat NSHA played HANC, winning 5-1.  Ari Teledano scored his first of the season and Captain Adam Goldman led his team with a goal and an assist.

Boys Basketball

6th Grade:

North Shore lost to a tough undefeated HALB team 38-23. North Shore was only down 6 in the 4th with great offensive efforts by David Orbach (10 points) and Joey Hajibai (6 points). Josh Mueller led the defensive effort with 8 rebounds.  We didn’t have better luck in a tough battle against HAFTR on Monday night where the score was 30-22.  Yonathan H led the offensive effort with 9 points and 5 assists.  Leo Siegelman and Daniel Soumikh played a solid defense in the second half to help limit HAFTR to 8 points total for that half.

7th Grade:

In our basketball doubleheader against HAFTR last Wednesday we took our first loss of the season.  Final score was HAFTR 40, NSHA 32. Ethan Zuckerman had 9 points and Ari Tuerack had 8 points. Both teams played a great game.

We had better luck in our game against Silverstein Academy, where we won 84-26 . Everyone played and the scoring was balanced. Joey Rahmani had 14 points, Justin Ganjian had 12, Michael Pagovich had 12 points, and Ethan Zuckerman had 11 points respectively. Our team now has an incredible 6-1 record!

8th Grade:

Our 8th grade boys wrapped up an UNDEFEATED regular season for a league record 3rd year in a row! In their game against HAFTR, NSHA was led by Andrew Sender with 16 points and Steven Levian with 14 points. Josh Hutt had 8 points. We stand at 9-0 following a win against Brandeis 61-29. Josh Hutt had 13 points including 3 3 point shots and Aaron Hajibai had 11 points.  At home against Yeshiva Har Torah we took the game 72-45.  Leading scorers were Steven Levian with 12 points, Josh Hutt with 12 points and Aaron Hajibai with 10 points.  Stay tuned for playoff information.

Girls Basketball:

6th Grade:

Flatbush took two wins against NSHA over the last week – both were good games with close scores and great efforts.

Varsity:

NSHA had a great game against Schechter with a final winning score of 41-13.  All-around great playing from the team.
