Bruchot Habaot to the Bnei Akiva Shlichot

Dear NSHA Families:

I am thrilled to announce that today, in partnership with the Great Neck Synagogue, we welcomed our two Israeli Bnei Akiva Shlichot, Rachel Wisemon and Efrat Carmi, to the NSHA Family.  Rachel and Efrat will work with NSHA through June developing and implementing programming around Zionism, Israeli history and current events, Hebrew language, Shabbat and Chagim.  Their work here will fulfil their second year of Sheirut Leumi (Israel National Service).

It is a privilege for North Shore Hebrew Academy to participate in the Bnei Akiva Shlichot program.  There is a tremendous amount our students, families and community can gain from having Rachel and Efrat embedded here to educate and inspire us.  They will play an integral role in cultivating our value of Torat Yisrael – a commitment to and love for Torah, mitzvot, halacha, Medinat Yisrael and Klal Yisrael.

Rachel and Efrat are far from home and we encourage you to welcome them for meals on Shabbat and Chagim.  They will be friendly familiar faces to your children and we know they would love to interact with you and your families outside of school.  Click here to view a brief video Rachel and Efrat prepared to introduce themselves to our community.  Please visit the dedicated Shlichot Bnei Akiva Great Neck Facebook Page for the latest program updates.  You can reach them at shlichot@nsha.org.

Finally, my deepest thanks to our NSHA team, both in the US and in Israel, and to the Great Neck Synagogue for making this dream a reality!
